Ludhiana, January 15, 2013: ITBF team beat Haryana 11 by 7-2 goals in a hockey match played during the 27th Mata Sahib Kaur Jarkhar Sports Festival on Tuesday.
In another match, Jarkhar Academy beat RCF by 4-1 and BSF beat PU by 1-0 in the boy’s category. In girls’ category, Khalsa Club Ludhiana beat Quilla Raipur by 4-2 points.
In Handball, Faridkot beat Muktsar by 18-9 points in boys’ category. In girls’ category (Handball), Hoshiarpur beat Tarn Taran by 15-11 points.
In Kabaddi semi-final matches, Jasad village beat Patari by 15.5-12 points and Maharaj Bathiyan village beat Paloti by 15.5 -5 points.
Later, in the evening, a colorful and cultural formal inaugural ceremony took place. Those who performed on the occasion, enthralled the audience.
The inaugural ceremony was performed by the Punjab Minister, Sharanjit Singh Dhillon and MLA Darshan Singh Shivalik.
On the occasion, photo artist Janmeja Singh Johl, noted Punjabi lyricist Dev Thareekewala, sports personality Teja Singh Dhaliwal, Hockey Star Parveen Thakur and Master Sadhu Singh Chokra were honored with Life Time Achievement Awards.
