Jalandhar, January 3, 2013: Army Recruiting Office, Ludhiana will be organising an Army open recruitment rally at Guru Nanak Stadium, Ludhiana from January 8-13.

Recruitment rally for the candidates of Ludhiana, Moga, Ropar and Mohali (SAS Nagar) districts will be conducted for Soldier General duty, Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper Technical (SKT), Soldier Technical & Soldier Technical (Nursing Assistant).

Tokens for Soldier General Duty candidates hailing from district Moga will be issued on January 8 and for those hailing from district Ludhiana will be issued on January 9.  Tokens for the candidates hailing from district Ropar and Mohali (SAS Nagar) will be issued on January 10. 

Token for candidates hailing from all districts of Punjab less   districts of Ludhiana, Moga, Ropar and Mohali (SAS Nagar) will be issued on January 11 for Soldier Clerk/SKT/Nursing Assistant/Technical only. 

The common entrance Test (CET) will be held on January 27.

The candidate should have passed Matric (10th) examination with 45% marks in aggregate and 32% marks in each subject for the category of Soldier General Duty where as candidates appearing for Soldier Clerk/SKT category should have passed (10+2) with English and Math in any stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject. 

Candidates appearing for Soldier Nursing Assistant should have passed (10+2) in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject.  Candidates appearing for soldier Technical should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English.

The candidate should be between 17 ½  -21 years of age for Soldier General Duty and 17 ½ -23 years of age for soldier Clerk/SKT, Soldier Technical and Soldier Nursing Assistant category.  The height of the candidates (less Kandi Area candidates and those apprearing for Soldier Clerk/SKT) should be 170 cms. 

The Kandi Area candidates appearing for Soldier General Duty should have a minimum of 166 cms height and those appearing for Soldier Technical and Soldier Nursing Assistant should have a minimum of 163 cms height.  Candidates appearing for soldier Clerk/SKT should have a minimum of 162 cms height.  All the aspirants should have a minimum of 50 kg weight and 77-82 cm chest.

Candidates should bring 20 copies of their latest passport size photographs (computerised or attested photographs will not be accepted), where as Sikh candidates should bring 20 copies of their photographs with turban and 20 copies without turban, Education Certificate issued by Education Board, fresh Residency/Domicile Certificate issued by the Tehsildar/SDM duly affixed photographs, fresh Caste Certificate issued by the Tehsildar/SDM with details of caste and religion of the individual, school Character Certificate signed by Principal and Character Certificate from Village Sarpanch issued in last six months, Unmarried Certificate for candidate below 21 years of age duly countersigned by the Village sarpanch issued in last six months. 

Candidates who are sons of serving Soldier/Widows and Ex-servicemen will produce Discharge Book or relationship certificate obtained from concerned Record Office.  Candidates from Kandi Area who are less than 170 cm in height should bring Kandi Area Certificate signed by the SDM for relaxation in height.
