Jalandhar, November 13, 2013: Members of Jalandhar Sanatam Dharam Raksha Manch on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to President of India through Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar demanding ban on Bollywood movie Ram-Leela.
Leaders of various organisations were objecting to scenes in the movie, stating that these scenes were upsetting the sentiments and emotions of a particular community. They also stated that the movie had nothing to do with Lord Rama. Rather, the movie was full of violence.
They sought that name of the film be changed.
Protestors assembled at Shree Ram Chowk. Then they proceeded to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office and submitted the memorandum.
