Jalandhar, November 13, 2016: Ivy World School , Jalandhar, celebrated the birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Ji with respect and obeisance. Oblations were offered to the almighty on this celebratory occasion. The Guru Granth Sahib was brought to the school with respect and love. Ivyians were part of the proceedings in every sense. Sukhmani Sahib path was done followed by Shabad Kirtan and ardas. Senior students gave a Gatka performance to mark the traditions and values of the first Sikh guru.
This was followed by Guru ka Langar which was partaken by all Ivyians. The Langar Sewa was done by the Student Council and senior students. The occasion was marked by the sincerity and solemn resolve of the faculty and students to serve unconditionally as a sign of their understanding of our values. The Principal, Mrs.S.Chauhan initiated the seva and helped the children understand the vision of our great thinkers through example set by her as she brought out the feelings of devotion and service coupled with equality of human kind without differentiation on any basis. She gave the message of God being one and all subjects to be treated the same.
