IT raids: On Fastway and Jujhar Travels’ premises

Ludhiana, November 6, 2012: Income Tax (IT) officials conducted raids into the premises of two leading companies in the city today.

As per the details, the raids were conducted in Fastway offices located at Sham Nagar and Ferozepur road and Jujhar Travels and Construction Company, on Jawaddi Road.

The raids were conducted by the IT officials from Ludhiana Range VI following a directive from IT Joint Commissioner RN Poonia.

The officials checked documents, including office computers, in the premises.

The raids were continued till evening.  

It may be mentioned here that in the last elections held to Punjab Assembly, the Congress leaders had been alleging that Fastway was the “SAD-BJP mouthpiece”.
