It is once again a fight between two top leaders of BJP and Congress in 12 corner contest in Dharamshala

Dharamshala, November 3, 2017: “??? ???? ?? ????? ????, ???? ???? ???? ??, ??? ???? ?? ????? ????, ???? ???? ???? ?? | (I do better than anyone, what difference does it make, I do something better, it makes a difference.) These were the words of Sudhir Sharma, Urban Development Minister and sitting MLA of Dharamshala when he started his election campaign for the day on Friday.
He is son of veteran Congress leader from Baijnath late Pt.Sant Ram. Sant Ram was Cabinet Minister in Himachal Pradesh Government and was President of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee.
He is married to Reena Sharma and has one daughter.

Sudhir Sharma (Born on 2 August 1972 at Paprola, District Kangra HP) is Minister of Housing, Urban Development and Town & Country Planning in the Government of Himachal Pradesh. He was first elected to Himachal Pradesh State Assembly in 2003 from Baijnath Constituency. He won again from Baijnath in 2007. In 2012 he shifted to Dharamshala as the Baijnath constituency was declared reserved and won from Dharamshala defeating stalwart BJP leader and ex-Minister Kishan Kapoor who is a leader of Gaddi tribe. He did it in just 12 days after his ticket was confirmed in 2012 to the surprise of most political pundits. This time too he is facing BJP candidate Kishan Kapoor and 10 others, the highest number of candidates in 68 constituencies of the state.
Sudhir with his skill made possible to get Dharamshala declared in the list of Smart cities in BJP rule in the Centre, when the Shimla the capital city was nowhere in the fray.
He also managed to get Dharamshala to be notified as the Municipal Corporation, the only second to Shimla in 51 years of the formation of greater HP. He also managed to get Dharamshala declared as second capital of HP.
Kishan Kapoor disagrees with the last achievement as they say that the Capital is a costly affair in the small state, which doesn’t have its funds to meet the general expenses and depends mainly on central aids.
He said, “Sharma was chosen on the promise that 9 year old Central University project will start in Dharamshala, which is still on papers. The law and order is out of control as none of the murders were traced during his term. Centre has given Smart city status to Dharamshala and the Minister enjoyed the funds to tour foreign countries with his near ones.”
Sudhir Sharma today visited Kand, Balla, Padder, Sidhwari Yol and Bani and said, “Beside development in Dharamshala the state government 230 health centres ,1485 new schools and 119 new colleges were opened in the state.”
Sudhir said he had brought the Smarty City project, Central University Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) and the second capital status to Dharamshala. The BJP leaders have been opposing all development projects brought by him to the area.
Dharamshala has witnessed massive development in the past five years. A new water scheme worth Rs 27 crore has been implemented, underground dustbins have been installed. “I have carried out development in Dharamshala despite opposition from the Shimla lobby and state leadership of the BJP that even moved against the grant of the Smart City status to Dharamsala,” Sudhir said.
Gorkhas have 8000 voters of the city and this time they fielded their own candidate Ravinder Rana. Rana said, “Many party workers and solid voters of both the parties are annoyed with national party candidates and they are favouring me, and I am confident of a win."
