IT Conclave organized at PCTE Group of Institutes

Ludhiana, March 20, 2019: The Department of Computer Science of PCTE Group of Institutes organized an IT- Breakthrough- A conclave to encounter challenges and Scope of IT in Business. The key note speakers of the event were Mr.Shiv Kakkar, Director, Mapping Skills Pvt Ltd, Mr Sanghpriya Gautam, Senior Project Manager, Rayk Labs, Ms Rakhi Singh, Data Scientist, Mapping Skills Pvt Ltd and Mr Abhishek Sood, Business Head, CS Soft Solutions (I) Pvt Ltd.

Mr.Shiv Kakkar emphasized on the fact that the students should focus on understanding instead of memorizing and they should know how to think out of the box. Ms. Rakhi Singh said that apart from having proficiency in the fields like Artificial Intelligence, Business Data Analytics, Data Science, Internet of Things, Block Chain etc. the students must develop soft skill as well to succeed in highly competitive world. Mr. Sanghpriya Gautam focused on the fact that the youth must re-live their dreams of childhood; dedication along with perseverance is the key to success. Mr. Abhishek Sood encouraged the students to be different from their counter parts by possessing the adequate aptitude skills along with the technical and soft skills required to achieve greater heights in IT sector.

Mr. Kapil Prashar, Dean Academics, PCTE Group of Institutes said that the conclave provided immense information to the students and further added by saying that it is important for the IT students to know about the challenges & scope of IT in Businesses and acquiring it from the professionals gives a lot of motivation and exposure to the students.

Dr. K N S Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes congratulated the department of Computer Science on successfully organizing the Conclave and said that PCTE has always focused on providing hands on experience to the students and conclaves like these help the students to interact and gain knowledge from the professionals in their respective field.
