Chandigarh, June 5, 2017: The Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission has summoned the Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar in person on 29th June, 2017 owing to the careless attitude exhibited by the latter towards the commission.

Disclosing this here today, the Chairman of the commission Mr. Rajesh Bagha said that the commission had received a complaint from the residents of Madan Lal Dhingra Colony, Ram Tirath Road, Amritsar that the people of Village Kale and Ghanuupur who got the sale certificate of plots during the year 2000 but they did not get the possession till date.

Mr. Bagha further said that the commission had sought a report from the competent officer till 03rd August, 2016 in the matter but even after repeated reminders neither any representative of the Deputy Commissioner appeared before the commission nor was the report received which clearly shows the incautious attitude on the part of Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar towards the commission.

The Chairman also divulged that the next hearing with regard to this complaint has been scheduled for 29th June. The commission has also directed the Divisional Commissioner, Jalandhar to ensure the compliance of the orders of the commission by the Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar.
