IPS PK Sinha discusses leadership qualities at CT University

First Leadership Summit organised at CT University Ludhiana, February 4, 2019: CT University organised its first Leadership Summit, a workshop on becoming effective leaders, at its campus in which IPS Praveen Kumar Sinha, Inspector General of Police (Crime) remained the keynote speaker of the event. As many as 22 participants attended the event included names like Munish Mittal, MD ThinkNEXT Technologies; Anmol Kwatra, Social Activist; Dr. Sandeep Singh, Principal Christian Medical College; Sana Chandok, Fashion Blogger; Lalita Sharma, Director In-Charge Sports Authority of India; Advocate Gurpreet Singh, District Bar Association; Yashu Makkar, Owner The Event Planners; Advocate Mandeep Sidhu, Secretary District Bar Association and Laksh Goyal, CEO Goyal Enterprises etc. Managing Director Manbir Singh welcomed the guests and said that effective leadership is one of main factors of any successful venture. PK Sinha started the workshop by defining the term Leadership. On asking participants to define the term in one word, they came up with meaningful words like Responsibility, Team building, Dynamism, Discipline, Accountability, Vision, Sacrifice etc. Sinha later continued the session with interactive business activities like 7-7-7 and Leadership in Action: The Hollow Square. The activities amused the participants and lot of brainstorming was put in finding the outcomes of the exercises. Sanah Chandok, a fashion blogger said, “Well, it was a wonderful experience for me to attend such an intellectual workshop that discussed various traits of being a leader. The models that keynote speaker shared will surely be helpful each one of us that attended this session.” Munish Mittal, MD ThinkNEXT Technologies shared, “I seriously didn’t know that this event will be of such great significance and full of learning. Having years of experience, I still learned a lot many things regarding business and leadership today. The personal experiences of the keynote speaker motivated me and I observed that its only effective leadership that can take you to the heights.” Keynote speaker Praveen Kumar Sinha, IPS said, “It’s one of the wonderful initiatives taken by CT University. Before this, this session was organized in their Jalandhar campus. The audience included people from different walks of life. Being a designer, RJ, writer, social activist or an entrepreneur, everyone who is into profession has leadership qualities. If he is influencing anyone, then he is a leader. People feel hesitant bringing change into their lives as they don’t want to come out of their comfort zone. But, one who is ready to bring change then his growth is promising.” Managing Director Manbir Singh and Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor thanked the keynote speaker and participants for making this event a great success and is looking forward to organize similar intellectual and enlightening events in the campus.
