IPAMA Joins hand with Expo Centre Sharjah (UAE) to promote printing & packing industry of Amritsar

Amritsar, July 10, 2013: To promote Amritsar printing and packing industry and after an overwhelming response from Printing industry of Punjab and Haryana at Print Pack India 2013, the nodal body and the organiser, IPAMA - Indian Printing Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association has has joined hands with EXPO Centre Sharjah for conceptualising and co hosting , PRINT PACK ARABIA 2014 one of the biggest show in UAE for this sector. The Print Pack Arabia is being held from April 2014 in Sharjah and provides an opportunity for Indian entrepreneurs exchange technologies and world wide exposure to latest printing and packing innovations.  

KS Khurana, President IPAMA, who belongs to this Holy city and also the torch bearers of this industry signed an agreement with Expo Centre Sharjah. The agreement for the same was signed in the presence of Midfa, Director General, Expo Centre Sharjah; K.S. Khurana, President-IPAMA; and C.P. Paul, General Secretary-IPAMA.

“We are happy to associate with Expo Centre Sharjah as co-organiser to for Print Pack Arabia. IPAMA is dedicated to disseminating information on the state of the technology, market perspectives and various developments taking place around the world, besides holding Printpack India,” said Khurana.

“Through Print Pack Arabia, we will be able to replicate the success achieved in India and share our decades of experience and expertise”, he said.

He added that Amritsar has already become the hub of printing, packing and binding machinery and fulfilling 50 percent of demand of packing machinery of India. More than 250 units are being used in making such machinery at Amritsar.  India is one of  the leading exporter of machinery used in making newspaper.       

“This is the first time in the history of IPAMA for any overseas business tie up has been done. And it is working to provide opportunities for our members & Promoting Brand India image and exploring possibilities of entering into joint ventures and business collaborations, etc with UAE Countries”, said C.P. Paul, General Secretary, IPAMA.

“We certainly want to make a big impact with the inaugural Print Pack Arabia. And, for this, we have joined hands with the leaders in this field - IPAMA, which organises Print Pack India, the fourth largest exhibition of its kind in the world and the biggest in India,” said Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, Director General of Expo Centre Sharjah, announcing the tieup.
