International Photography day celebrations take place at DAV College, Jalandhar on Wednesday.
Jalandhar, August 19, 2015: Department of journalism & mass communication of DAV College, Jalandhar celebrated world photography day on Wednesday. This day is celebrated in the memory of great photographers those who captured the amazing memories.
On the occasion the BAJMC department organized various competitions including caption writing & still photography in which students participated with great enthusiasm.
Winners of photography are 1ST position Ramandeep Singh of BAJMC-I , 2nd position was shared by Gurjot Kaur BAJMC-I and Anjali Luther of BAJMC -2 and Ruhi Gupta BAJMC-I got 3rd position .
Winners of caption contest were Yetesh SharmaBAJMC-2 , Jagmanjot Singh of BAJMC -3 & Rupali of MA Economics were 1st , and Dhruv of BA was 2nd .
Principal Dr.BB Sharma said that these competitions should be held in the department timely as students get to learn a lot from these activities. Prof. Meenakshi Mohan (HOD of Journalism and Mass communication department ) was the organizer of the event who gave students tips for good photography . Other teachers present at the occasion were Prof. Pretty Dhawan , Prof. Jyoti Vardhan Mahajan , Prof. Payal & Prof. Arun k Singh.
