International Nurses Day celebrated at Aryans Campus

Mohali, May 12, 2015: Aryans Institute of Nursing today celebrated International Nurses Day under the theme “Nurses: A Force for Change: Care Effective, Cost Effective” at Aryans Campus. Nurses day celebrated on the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, who is widely considered the founder of modern nursing. Prof. A.P. Jain, Director, Aryans Group presided over the event.

The function commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony. After the lamp lighting ceremony Director, Aryans Group addressed the students and told them about the valuable contribution of the nurses to the society.

Prof. A.P. Jain, Director, Aryans Group said that nursing is a profession with lot of challenges. They work with other health professionals to provide all required services to the sick or other patients. He further added that nurses can be forces of changes but there must be proper planning to engage them and they too have responsibility to get engaged as health professionals.

Sweety, Coordinator, Nursing Department said that on the occasion students performed various cultural activities and Poster making competition was also organized. She further added that in the end the students who performed extraordinarily were rewarded with prizes.
