International Day of Elder Persons being celebrated by Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana on Wednesday.
Ludhiana, October 7, 2015: On the occasion of International Day of Elder Persons, Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana organized medical fate at Heavenly Palace- Senior Citizen Home.
More than 80 senior citizens attended the programme. Programme was held under the supervision of Mr.Vivan Singh Gill, Facility Director, Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana. The event commenced with multi-specialty camps that included medical, Orthopedic, Pulmonary and Dental check-ups for the inmates.
Dr. Ritesh Sood (Dental Department), Dr. Sanjeev Mahajan (Director, Orthopaedic) and Dr. Amit Gupta (Senior Consultant –Pulmonology) rendered their services at the camp.
As part of its social responsibility for the care of the elderly, Fortis Ludhiana also conducted health awareness talk on stress management by Dr. Ajay Pal Singh ( Senior Consultant, Psychiatry Department, and Dr. Alok Jain (Senior Consultant – Neurology , Fortis Ludhiana) respectively. Separate rounds of Interaction were held and a lot of queries regarding healthcare problems were resolved. The whole session was followed by question-answer round on various scenarios of daily life.
The inmates of Heavenly Palace were felicitated by exclusive Fortis Momentous and other goodies especially designed by Fortis Ludhiana for them. Invigorating the lives of the inmates, the team of Fortis Ludhiana helped the elderly at Heavenly Palace to relive some happy moments as they sang and danced without any inhibitions. The celebration also witnessed enthusiastic participation by the inmates of Heavenly Palace.
