Ludhiana, November 29, 2014: An interactive programme for the fresh batch of MBBS 2014 was held today in Dumra Auditorium at DMCH, Ludhiana. The programme was held to accord a formal welcome to the freshers by their seniors. Principal Dr Daljit Singh said in his address said, “Besides academics, cultural programs and sports are also very important for any education institute for the overall development of students.” Vice Principal Dr Sandeep Puri was also present on the occasion and he exhorted all the students to have a healthy interaction with their fellow beings.
The interactive party with the fresh batch of students is a unique event that has been regularly held in the institute. It gives an appropriate platform for the two successive batches to introduce themselves and to show their best talent. Under the guidance of faculty members, the event was very successful. For all around development of personality, participation of medical students in cultural events is useful.
The event had some eye catchy acts like choreography, antakshri, comedy skits, fashion show and other entertaining song and dance programmes. Contestants participated in Mr. and Miss Fresher’s competition where they walked on ramp and tried to present themselves best before judges. The event was ended on a very happy, excited and enthusiastic note.
