Inter-locking tiles being laid in the streets in Jalandhar Central Assembly constituency.
Jalandhar, July 21, 2013: BJP national executive member Manoranjan Kalia, MLA has finally succeeded in getting the proposal cleared of repair of streets in his Jalandhar Central Assembly constituency from Chandigarh.
This is why the work of laying inter-locking tiles has started. The street along Alaska Chowk and also near Ladowali Road was badly damaged in the rains. Now, these streets are being re-constructed with interlocking tiles instead of bitumen.
Kalia had proposed construction of these streets with interlocking tiles. He said more than Rs 8 crore development works tenders have been floated by the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation and soon the work will be started in other areas of the constituency too.
