Ferozepur, November 10, 2015: S B S State Technical Campus, Ferozepur organised 1st Inter College Lawn Tennis Tournament of collages affiliated to newly established Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University, Bathinda. Total Five teams participated in this tournament namely GZS college of Engg.& Tech. Bathinda, GTBK College of Engg.& Tech., Malout; MIMIT, Malout; BBSB College of Engg. & Tech., Fatehgarh Sahib and home team of S B S State Technical Campus, Ferozepur.
The winner of this tournament was MIMIT Malout. The first Runner’s Up trophy was won by GZSCET, Bathinda & Second Runner’s Up trophy was won by BBSBCET, Fatehgarh Sahib. Dr. T. S Sidhu campus Director was Chief Guest during inauguration ceremony. Prof. Gazal Preet Arneja, Dean Sports & Cultural Affairs and Mr. Surinder Singh, Convener Sports M.R.S State Technical University, Bathinda were Guest of Honour during this occasion. Final match was played between GZS Bathinda and MIMIT Malout.
Refree during this tournament was Mr. Vikarmjeet Singh & Mr. Sukhwinder Singh. Dr T S Sidhu in his speech congratulated the winning team.
Dr T S Sidhu, in his speech congratulated the winning teams. He also thanked all the guests present during the occasion. He said SBSSTC campus is marching ahead in various fields for the overall personality development of students. He congratulated Mr Gazal Preet Arneja, Principal Poly Wing and Dean Sports and Cultural Affairs and Dr M K Kushwaha Coordinator Sports of Lawn Tennis and Mr Mukesh Sachdeva, Sports Incharge for making overall arrangement during this entire tournament.
