Instructions issued regarding handicap conveyance allowance

Chandigarh, August 16, 2013: The Punjab Government has decided to give disability conveyance allowance to all the handicapped and blind employees irrespective of their category in which they were recruited.

Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the Punjab Government said that as per the new instructions handicapped and blind employees would be entitled for the special allowance. He said that while considering a case of any such employee for the case of allowance the mode and category of recruitment would not be taken into account.

He further said that the allowance would be given as per the previous term and condition. In this regard Social Security and Women and Child Welfare department issued instruction to all department heads, Commissioners of divisions, Deputy Commissioners of districts, Registrar of Punjab & Haryana High Court and District and Session Courts.
