Instructions issued not to send any GPF cases to AG Office

Chandigarh, May 15, 2014: The Punjab Finance department has informed all the heads of departments that no case of transfer of GPF account, verification of balances/ advances, copy of transfer advice etc. should be sent to the GPF Account Maintaining Authorities in the office of Principal Accountant General (A & E) Punjab and UT Chandigarh in future.
A spokesman of the Punjab government said that Principal Accountant General (A & E) Punjab and UT Chandigarh has intimated that 6470 cases received from various GPF Account Maintaining Authorities for review during the last eight months and all have been reviewed at their end. He said that concerned GPF Account Maintaining Authorities have also been intimated accordingly. He said at present no GPF Account is lying in the office of Accountant General Punjab for review. He said that all the concerned officers/officials have been asked to meticulous compliance of the orders.
