Inspiring Story: An Administrative officer in Himachal guides government school children on holidays

Dharamshala, November 28, 2018: On Sundays and other holidays,Yashpal Parmar, a block development officer (BDO) of Touni Devi at Bamsan in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh, is teaching the children of a government school of the area and guides them to be good citizen. He calls upon the willing children on holidays to the school and guides them to be a good citizen. The children describes it as the class of Knowledge. Parents are also being encouraged to send their children to school by this government officer. The son of Yashpal is also studying in the government school, a rare feat.

Everyone in the area is widely appreciating this government officer. Yashpal, not only known for his good official work but also for this wonderful social work. It is a unique start by the government high official to encourage the public to send their children in government schools, by uplifting the slandered of these schools.

He works as a Block Development Officer during the working day, but on Sundays or other holidays, he becomes a teacher for children. He said about school students, “They are learning how to become good citizen, mutual brotherhood and to help each other.” He said that he call only those children for these classes, who are interested and their parents allows them for this.

BDO Yashpal said that he is also teaching his son in government school, to prove that these schools too impart best education.

While talking to this correspondent, Yashpaul said, “Everybody talks about the shortcomings of the society but doesn’t contribute a bit for its eradication. I think it is my responsibility to feed back the society to bring up the best of it. I took the initiative and started the work to do this job from 10 am to 1 pm on each holiday in a school here.”

Yashpal was educated from Navodya Vidyalya in Hamirpur.
