Chandigarh, March 17, 2015: Pharmacy experts today discussed “From Drug Discovery to Drug Delivery: Contemporary Trends” during the second day of the ongoing one week faculty training school at University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Panjab University (PU) Campus.

The deliberations covered a wide range of computational approaches using employing modern paradigms for Drug Discovery and Drug Delivery.

Earlier, the day started with an enlightening talk by Bombay College of Pharmacy, Mumbai, Prof Evans Coutinho on Simultaneous Optimization of Pharmacodynamic and Pharmacokinetics of Leads to increase Chances of Success.

Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai Prof Vandana Patravale sensitized the audience regarding the potentials of nanostructured lipid carriers in vaccine delivery.

The post lunch session started with a talk by Programme & Course Coordinator, UGC-NRC & Chairperson, UIPS, Prof Bhupinder Singh Bhoop on Quality by Design: A Contemporary Paradigm for Systematic Drug Development. His lecture was followed by a demonstration by representative from Minitab, Mr Bimal K Kesh, Sr. Statistician and Training Manager. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
