Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar organized a Seminar on ‘Meditation and Self- Understanding’ on March 20, 2019. The resource person was Dr. Tirath Singh, Principal of Sacred Hearts College of Education. He elucidated that when we understand that karma is based on wish, we can see our enormous responsibility. We become conscious of the intentions that precede our actions. If we are unaware of the motives in our minds, when unskillful desires arise we may unmindfully act on them and thus create the conditions for future sufferings. An interactive session was held about the positive and the negative forces, the faculty members suggested ways to develop our inner strength. Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh said that Holi is the best occasion to wipe out all negative powers, it marks the triumph of good over evil. Holika bonfire symbolizes an opportunity to burn all that is evil in us. In the end, the student-teachers enjoyed playing holi with flowers and organic colours.
