INFORMAL “RELEASE”: ‘Nankana Sahib and Sikh Shrines in Pakistan’ presented to PM

Renowned Industrialists of Ludhiana, Ranjodh Singh, President of Ramgarhia Educational Council and Lalit Kala Akademi presenting the very first copy of his book ‘Nankana Sahib and Sikh Shrines in Pakistan’ to the Prime Minister at Ludhiana on December 8.

Ludhiana, December 10, 2012: Convocation at PAU here on December 8 witnessed many eminent personalities and industrialist during meeting with the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.  

It was for the first time that the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh addressed the students during their convocation.

After having a formal conversation with renowned Industrialists of Ludhiana, Ranjodh Singh, President of Ramgarhia Educational Council and Lalit Kala Akademi presented the very first copy of his book ‘Nankana Sahib and Sikh Shrines in Pakistan’ to the Prime Minister.

The valuable book comprises a vivid description of Gurdwara Sri Nankana Sahib, Gurdwara Sri Baal Lila Sahib and other Sikh Shrines related to the life of Sri Guru Nanak Dev.

“This book is written in three languages English, Hindi and Punjabi”, said Ranjodh Singh here today, adding it is dotted with illustrative pictures of the concerned shrines.

He hoped that this book will serve as  a strong link for the whole Sikh community, creating awareness among them about the rich Sikh religious heritage in Pakistan.

It may be mentioned here that Manish Tiwari, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting (Independent charge); Pawan Deewan , President District Congress Committee (Urban) and renowned industrialists of Ludhiana Kamal Oswal, Jawahar Oswal, J.R. Singal, Gurmeet Kular, Sandeep Riyat and Manjula Jain were among those present at the time of presentation of the book to the PM.
