New Delhi, August 8, 2012: According to the UNCTAD’s World investment Report, 2012, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows of US $ 684399 million were received in developing economies of the World during 2011, of which India received 4.6%. FDI inflows, in respect of some of the developing economies, including India, during 2011, are as under:
China – 123985 US $ (Million), Hong Kong, China- 83156 US $ (Million), Brazil- 66660 US $ (Million), Singapore - 64003 US $ (Million), British Virgin Islands- 53717 US $ (Million), India-31554 US $ (Million), Mexico-19554 US $ (Million), Indonesia- 18906 US $ (Million) and Chile- 17299 US $ (Million).
According to the UNCTAD’s World Investment Report, 2012, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows of US $ 31554 million have been received in India during 2011, as against FDI inflows of US $ 24159 received during 2010.
This information was given by the Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today.
