INDUSTRIALISTS CRY: Where are you Mr Ludhiana Mayor?

Ludhiana, November 23, 2012: Two lanes and two roads in Focal Point Phase-IV, Ludhiana, are in a deplorable condition for the last three years.

In view of the apathy being shown by the authorities concerned in getting the roads repaired over the period despite repeated requests, the local industrialists were forced to stage demonstration today to draw the attention Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (LMC) authorities, and also, to show their resentment.

Industrialists who participated in the demonstration included Suhail Grover, Satvinderpal Singh Arora, Surinder Mahendru, Ashok Kumar, Shiv Kant, Satish Behl, Surinder Singh, Parag Chawla, Anil Gupta, Kamal Goyal, Parampreet Singh, Sanjay Aggarwal, Punit Dhingra, Naval Kumar, Ritesh Goyal, S.C. Ralhan, Satinder Kumar Rishi, B.P. Sharma, Avinash Chander, Raman Puri, Aswani Kumar, Nitin Mahajan, Amit, Lakesh Aneja, Arihant Jain, Pritpal Sandhu, Parmod Kumar, Ashok Gupta, Mohinder Pal Jain, Gaurav Jain, Rakesh Kumar Jain, Jaininder Kumar Jian, Anoop Kumar, Jitender Pal, Kumal Sobti, Sunil Kumar, Love Kumar, Manoj Girdhar, Vionay Jain and Prasanna Gupta.

In a statement, they said,” We have been chasing the corporation officials including Mayor, Senior Deputy Mayor, Councilors of the area, Joint Commissioner and other senior concerned officers visited the area giving false promises, all the times but doing nothing”.

Ralhan said, “No constructive proposal have never been made/passed/ executed so far. Forty four industries have started thinking to shift from the area, few of them have already taken the plots outside the focal point area”, adding the condition of few of the industries are unbearable thus unable to reach their offices because of the sewerage water in front of their office blocks.

Further, he told that the road levels of the roads had been increased by more than 5 feet as the MC has been laying the roads from time to time for the last 30 years.

Further, he said the customers of these industries were reluctant to visit the factories causing huge losses to the factories.
