Industrial trip to Sharman Spinning Mills, Ludhiana

Jalandhar, November 17, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organised an industrial visit to Sharman Spinning Mills, Ludhiana for its students of M.Voc and B.Voc in Textile Design and Apparel Technology. The trip was organized to make the students aware about the manufacturing process of women shawls. On Arrival at company, the Admin-HR, of the company welcomed the students. Mr.Ripan Jain-HR Manager First interacted with the students on some general aspects, career planning and opportunities to get best jobs in the Textile Industry during the first session. In the next session, students visited the industry where they got the knowledge of manufacturing process of shawls from spinning of wool fibres to production of shawls through different power looms such as Jacquard, Dobby, Projectile, Rapier and Air Jet Looms. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this exposure will definitely help the students to gain real time knowledge of what they have been learning theoretically and practically.
