Industrial leaders meet MLA, discuss problems

A meeting of FICO & Punjab Dyers Association being held with Ranjit Singh Dhillon MLA at Ludhiana on Friday.

Ludhiana, November 28, 2014: A meeting of Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organisation (FICO) & Punjab Dyers Association was held with Ranjit Singh Dhillon MLA in the factory premises of Vipan Mittal , Senior Vice President of FICO.

The problems being faced by Focal point Phase VIII industrialists were discussed in detail. It was demanded that land reserved for CETP for dying industries in Focal Point Phase VIII should be given to the association along with principal payment & interest because at the time of allotment payment was taken for land & installation of Common Effluent Treatment Plant for dying & electroplating industry.   In phase 8 there are approximately 40 dying units & it is not possible to shift them to anywhere because they have already invested so much in the industry. They also requested that even payment was also recovered from the industrialists from phase VIII to Main STP while calculating the price of the plot.

Infrastructure of Focal point VIII Should be improved because there is very poor condition of roads & sewerage system, the industrialists said.

Dhillon assured the industrialists that immediate action will be taken to extend relief to the industry. He also assured to get arranged a meeting with Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab in this regard.

Gurmeet Singh Kular president and Vipan Mittal Senior Vice President of FICO, Vijay Mehtani President Punjab Dyers Association, Surinder Kumar of Ganpati Dying and M.S. Arora of Arora Knit Fab were among those present.
