Indira’s sacrifice would continue to inspire young generation Fateh Bajwa

Chandigarh, October 31, 2013: Punjab Congress leaders today paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her martyrdom day at Congress Bhawan here. The leaders garlanded the portrait of Gandhi and pledged to follow her ideals.

Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa while paying tributes said that Gandhi had sacrificed her life for the cause of national unity and integrity. He appealed to countrymen to unite against communal and separatist forces. He said that philosophy of Gandhi would continue to inspire the young generation to make big sacrifice for the country.

He said that Gandhi had faced economic, social and political challenges in life but she worked hard to bring equality in the society. She initiated a national campaign for elimination of poverty and strengthened the secular forces. She also laid the foundation of an era of technology and science.

Others who paid tributes to Gandhi included Rajpal Singh, Lakha Ram Chairman Bajigar cell and Gurinder Bali and hundreds of Congressman at Congress Bhawan, Chandigarh. www.cityairnews.com
