It will give a platform to entrepreneurs, policy-makers and financiers to explore how India can emerge as a global leader in the de-centralized renewable energy (DRE) and become a hub for technology and business model innovations.” “The private sector can complement government’s efforts in providing energy access to rural populations and promote livelihood enhancement. The exhibits at IDEF will showcase many of these solutions including solar lanterns, home systems with appliances like TVs, fans; community and street lighting and off-grid productive use appliances”, added, Anjali Garg, Energy Specialist, IFC Lighting Asia Program / India program.
