Ludhiana, July 6, 2019: Blood Bank at Prolife Hospitals, Village Gill, Malerkotla road, Ludhiana, was inaugurated by Cabinet Minister of Punjab, Bharat Bhushan Ashu. He highlighted the importance of Blood Bank in the management of patients. He said, Trauma and critical disease are on the rising trend, blood bank acts as the backbone of the hospital to tackle the emergency medical conditions. When accidents happens, there is a loss of blood in that situation, timely blood transfusion can save precious lives. Minister encouraged the blood donation by general public periodically as it is tribute to mankind.
At this occasion, Kuldip Singh Vaid, MLA and Block incharge of Atam Nagar, Kamaljit Singh Karwal graced the occassion. They also gave their valuable opinions regarding blood donation. Vaid said that Prolife Superspecialty Hospitals and Trauma care alongwith an advanced blood bank is a serving for the people living in this zone. He said, there was need of this type of facility in this area. Now, I am sure, that this hospital with its dedicated and well experienced staff and facility will serve the humanity in a better way. Karwal also applauded the efforts being put by hospital for providing world class Medical, Surgical and Diagnostic facilities under one roof at the place where these were urgently needed.
Director of hospital and chief laproscopic G.I. And Bariatric Surgeon briefed the availability of facilities at prolife Hospitals. He said, this hospital is providing world class facilities under one roof in different streams like Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeries, Weight loss surgeries, Orthopaedics and Trauma Care, General medical care & checkups, Neuro Surgery, Urology and Critical care. He also narrated about the advanced diagnostic services available in the hospital like, 16 Slice C.T. Scan, Ultrasound, Digital X-Rays, Laboratory which is working 24X7 for patients. He also said that there is no harm to donate the blood inspite it is a healthfull and purposeful gesture. At this occasion,
Director of blood bank Sandeep Ahlawat and Rotarian Sanjay Tripathi were also present and gave their positive thoughts regarding Blood bank. They elaborated the facilities which this blood bank is going to provide to the people around the clock. They said, this Blood bank is advanced type of blood bank using ultramodern gadgets for collecting processing, segregating and storing the various components of blood which can be used to deal with serious situations. This Blood Bank is specifically equipped with platelet apheresis (SDP) and very useful in Dengue & Chikungunia diseases. This Blood Bank is going to provide all the components of whole blood to tackle the all kind of emergencies.
During this function, Dr H S Saini, Chief Anesthetist , Dr A S Passi, Chief Orthopedics and Joint Replacement Surgeon and Dr Pankaj Seth , Medical Specialist gave their positive inputs for blood donation. Ranjit Kaur, Manager Of hospital and Pankaj Soni, Chief Laboratory Operations graced this important moment.
