Implementation of IIoT in Rail Coach Factory

Kapurthala, December 12, 2019: Shri Ravinder Gupta, General Manager/RCF today inaugurated Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) in Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala.
This is a state-of-the-art System for monitoring & improving utilization of vital Machinery & Plant assets. By further interconnecting all Sub-Systems, the System can be upgraded to Industry 4.0 - the 4th Generation of Revolution of Industrial Technology. This System provides real time information of the working of machines. Various reports generated by this System enable improving the productivity, flexibility, quality & speed. The error logs generated by the System provide valuable input for planning Predictive maintenance, hence improving maintainability & reliability of the vital assets. Last mile connectivity has been achieved by Wi-fi System thereby enabling seamless working.
This System has been developed by M/s Fox Solutions, Nasik indigenously and hence supports “Make in India” Programme initiative of the Govt. of India. Implementation of this System brings new era of Industrial revolution in Indian Railways.
