IKG PTU Zonal Youth Festival at DAVIET: A platform for budding technocrats to showcase their talent

Jalandhar, October 24, 2019: IKG PTU Zonal Youth Festival continued here today at DAVIET Campus for the second day. The budding technocrats impressed one and all with their talent and knowledge. The ongoing Youth Festivalhas been dedicated to the memory of 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The aim of Youth Festival is to inculcate in students a spirit of adventure and co-operation but at the same time it aims to inculcate in them a spirit of excellence in the domain of art and culture. These types of festivals open up avenues for the budding artists of various college affiliated to IKGPTU by providing them recognition and encouragement. On Day two the important events of Mimicry, One Act Play, Punjabi Folk Song, Elocution, Debate, Classical Inst. Solo(P), Classical Inst. Solo(NP), Classical Vocal Solo, Punjabi Folk Song, Poem Recitation, Clay Modeling , Collage Making, Mehndi and Poster Making were organized. The competing teams gave their best to outperform each other to win laurels for their respective colleges. Dr. Manoj Kumar , Principal DAVIET, in his address stated that such festivals are very important to hone the overall personality of students. He highlighted that it is well developed all round personality which can make students responsible citizens of the nation. He further shared with all the present that competition this time is very intense but the participants from various institutions are having a very healthy competition amongst themselves. He wished all the participants the best of luck for their performances.
