Jalandhar, June 11, 2015: Joining I.K Gujral Punjab Technical University on September 4, 2014 as Registrar Punjab Institute of Technology (PIT) Ludhiana and served as Controller Examination (officiating), Dr Suresh Kumar Tandon has successfully superannuated his services for the university. Now Dr Tandon joined as Vice-Chairman of Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) for the third time. The university staff has given him a farewell party today.
The welcome address was delivered by Er. Paramjit Singh, Deputy Controller Examination, who has given the charge of Controller Examination now. The ceremony was addressed by Dean Academics Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu, Dean RIC Dr. A.P. Singh, Dr. A.K. Sehajpal- Advisor to PTU Examination Branch; SK Mishra Finance Officer, Dr. RPS Bedi- Joint Registrar.
Various officers shared their memories spent with him. This was an emotional moment filled with affection and love.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Amanpreet Singh, Officiating Registrar IKG PTU. In his words he said, “Dr. Tandon is a true motivator, mentor, A down to earth personality who is quite friendly with everyone. I wish him a very good luck for his future endeavors.” The stage of the ceremony was conducted by Dr Nitya Sharma, deputy controller Examination.
While thanking IKG- PTU family Dr. Suresh Tandon expressed, “I am honored that I got a chance to work in a university with experienced staff. The time spent here will be missed. I thank everyone here who stood by me every time”.
