IIA-LC organises meet on save electricity

Ludhiana, March 1, 2015: The Indian Institute of Architects- Ludhiana Centre (IIA-LC) organised technical seminar on ‘How to Save Electricity in Buildings, Primarily through Proper Air-Conditioning’.

Detailed presentations were given by leading architects and experts that how we must design our buildings, so that we can save a lot of electricity.

Ar.Surinder bahga, Chairman, Publication board of The Indian Institute of Architects delivered a talk on saving environment by designing energy efficient and climate responsive buildings. He showcase different technologies and projects to demonstrate different ideas which can be implemented in our country.  

Ar. Sanjay Goel, Chairman IIA, Ludhiana Centre gave the welcome address. He emphasised the need to have such professional meets for exchange of ideas. He explained the topic of seminar in detail that how inspite of non-availability of electricity, we are wasting electricity. 

Ankush Saluja talked about various silent features of air-conditioning technologies available in India.

The meeting was attended by more than 100 architects from Ludhiana and different parts of Punjab including Ar.Balbir Bagga, Ar. Harpreet K Dhillon, Ar. Harinder Boparai, Ar. Rajan Tangri, Ar. Dinesh Bhagat, Ar. Pritpal Singh Ahluwalia, Ar. P.S. Moohra.

The meeting was organised by leading Air-conditioning Company ‘Mitsubishi Electric’ in association with The Indian Institute of Architects-Ludhiana Centre.

In addition to this, there was a cultural programme to entertain architects.
