We need festivals like Sky Fest and others to promote Hyderabad as a world class city.  Government has decided to organise one major event every month and couple of international events every year to project city internationally.  We will orgnaise a SEA Plane activity as a Festival at Hussain Sagar lake in coming January.  A seaplane is a powered fixed-wing aircraft capable of taking off and landing (alighting) on water. These amphibian aircrafts or floatplanes are will add lot of curiosity among the people as they haven’t seen them before in the city, he said.

We need continuous activities and festivals to happen in the city  That is why many national festivals are coming to city. Telangana Government has already drawn an action plan to organise festivals to promote Hyderabad to raise the number of foreign tourists visiting Hyderabad from present one lakh to 10 lakh in next few years, informed B. Venkatesham. Countries like Spain and France attract nearly 7 crore tourists annually.  But, we don’t get some many foreign tourists all India put together.  Hyderabad inspite of being a 400years old heritage city fails to attract foreign tourists. The foreign tourists inflow must go up, he said.

If foreign tourist inflow increase, earnings of local people will also go up.  Tourism can provide employment to one and all, he said.

The Akash Ganga team based at Agra has been performing these para jumping activities as peace time adventure activities.  The concept which began to hone their aerial assault techniques for wartime operations has become the most sought after fun and adventure activity thanks to encouragement from  The Indian Air Force informed Rammohan, President of Rotary Club of Banajara, Hyderabad who is organizing the Sky Fest in aid of Sparsh Hospice as charity event to raise funds to support Palliative Care being provided them free of cost to terminally ill patients and their families free of cost for the past four years.

The team will be dropped from 8000ft height from two  helicopters.  Then they will have free fall for some distance. Then they activate their parachutes in mid way and perform few formations. And navigate so well with precision that they land in a pre determined circle on the ground.

Akash Ganga is the 14 member Sky diving team of the Indian Air Force. It was created in August 1987.

Para Jumping has over a period of time evolved in our country as a adventure sport.  It was in 1987, The Indian Air Force launched Akash Ganga at the Air Force Station in Agra.  The Akash Ganga Air Force team comprises the most dedicated, skilful and daredevil Para Instructors of the Paratroopers Training School. The enthusiasm and experience the instructors at Paratroop Training School (PTS) have gained in sky diving since its inception resulted in formation of the Sky Diving team for demonstration jumps.

Para Jumping is a  recreational activity seen mostly on TV, but, never witnessed live in this city. This gives an exhilarating experience to people as they get to see Parajumpers jumping from aircrafts, returning fast to earth, making beautiful formations on the way back. The curiosity, nerve tingling experience one goes through watching these parajumpers safely risking their lives will be memorable for many for their life time.
