Jalandhar, December 11, 2018: Lovely Professional University (LPU) and Rotary District-3070 organized the ‘Youth Leadership Awards’ event ‘RYLA’ at LPU campus event jointly, where near 250 students from three-states Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab were honoured for their achievements. More than 20 eminent speakers from different fields guided and motivated the participating students during different sessions of five-day endeavour. Students were imparted teachings to be worldly-wise and successful in their life ahead.

RYLA Chairman Dr Narinder Pal welcomed all at the event, where important talks covering the topics including youth power; role of emotional intelligence in decision making; success is never ending & failure is never final; value addition; seven things to do before you graduate; personality development; happiness: key to success; role of technology in day to day life; leadership; art of communication; and, many more were held for motivation of the students. Some of the speakers included LPU Executive Dean Dr LR Gupta, Dean Dr Sorabh Lakhanpal, Prof KV Umar Farooq, Dr Gurjot Kaur; Mr Balwinder Pathania, Mr Barjesh Singhal, Former Registrar KK Dhir, CA Davinder Singh and more.

Yoga, Marathon, Jumba, Folk dances and other related activities also added to students’ learning. A special visit to ‘Jung-e-Azadi’ memorial at Kartarpur also let the students imbibe chivalrous glory of the state and the country. Some of the participating students informed that quite away from the bookish knowledge, the event has taught them many important facts of the life. They claimed that such participations and involvements should be more so that students get early guidance for leading the rest of life on positive aspects and achievements.
