Human values are intrinsic to literature: Eminent Hindi Novelist Dr.Ajay Sharma

Amritsar, September 21, 2019: Under the aegis of MHRD, GoI and Faculty Department Centre of Guru Nanak Dev University, seven days National Interdisciplinary Workshop is being organised from 19th to 25th September. On second day of the ongoing workshop, eminent Hindi Novelist Dr.Ajay Sharma marked his presence by sharing his views on the topic `Literature and Human Values’. Dr.Sharma said human values are intrinsic to literature. They form the core and acquire a greater and bigger meaning when treated by a writer. He also talked about the withering and changing human values in his novels Basra Ki Galiyan, Nau Dishayen, Chehra aur Parchai and so on. Summing up his views, he said, human values and literature go hand in hand and both supplement and complement each other. A small interactive session also took place afterwards between the writer and the professors from different colleges. The programme coordinator Dr.Sunil Kumar was also present at this occasion. He skilfully managed and organised the proceedings of the day and very well entertained the audience. Hindi poetess Geeta Dogra also became a part of this programme.
