Honda organises ‘Road Safety Convention 2018’ in Ludhiana
200+ school principals participated in the unique event for road safety promotion Ludhiana, November 29,2018: Taking a unique initiative on #HelmetOnLifeOn, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. today conducted ‘Road Safety Convention 2018’ for school principals in Ludhiana.Over 200School Principals participated in the Road Safety Awareness Training to enhance safety awareness in the society through school students. Honda 2Wheelers India takes road safety as top priority to ensure utmost safety for everyone. With Road Safety Conventions, Honda aims to increase safety awareness and reduce road accident rates. The motive of this training program is to inform school principals that Road Safety is a national concern through Honda’s awareness training module. Taking the road safety commitment to next level, Honda organized Road Safety Convention 2018 in Ludhiana. Aimed to provide ‘First of its kind’ training on road safety to principals of various schools,the initiative was conducted in the august presence of Mr. Pradeep Kumar Agrawal - IAS, DC, Ludhiana,Mr. Prabhu Nagaraj-Vice President, Brand & Communication, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.and other officials from the district office and Honda 2Wheelers India. The conference was followed by demonstration of two safety trainings – Primary Training Activity & CRF50 Activity for kids & role play safety activities by kids. Speaking on this unique initiative, Mr.Prabhu Nagaraj, Vice President, Brand & Communication, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “As a responsible two-wheeler manufacturer, Honda is fully committed towards road safety education. We firmly believe that children are the nation builders of tomorrow and our aim is to ‘Catch Them Young’ to become ‘Safety Champs’ of the society. Since teachers are the guiding lights for the students, Honda offers refined guidance to them on road safety with this unique initiative.In fact, our traffic training park in the city welcomes the teachers too for safety activities so that they can motivate young students with appropriate lessons on road safety and safe riding.” The convention consisted of various unique activities like role play activity by the students. Over 300 kids attended the event and a group of students demonstrated primary riding training & CRF50 activity to help them understand the way kids are trained at Honda’s Road Safety & Traffic Training Park in Ludhiana. So far, over 2 lakh individuals including females and kids have been educated on road safety aspects in Road Safety & Traffic Training Park in Chandigarh & Ludhiana.
