HOCKEY: Namdhari XI defeated ONGC by 3-2

Ludhiana, October 23, 2012: In the third match of Perfect Real Estate All India Sahibzada Ajit Singh Hockey Champion Trophy 2012, Namdhari XI defeated ONGC by 3-2.

First goal of the match was scored by Gurmeet Singh of Namdhari XI in 2^nd minute of the match. Deepanshu of Namdhari XI scored the second goal for his team in 8^th minute of the match. Aijub Ekka of ONGC scored the first goal for his team in 41^st minute of the match but Deepanshu of Namdhari XI again scored a field goal in 45^th minute of the match. It was in the 49^th minute that Diwakar Raju scored second goal for ONGC in 49^th minute with the help of a penalty corner. ONGC got several chances to score an equaliser but could not succeed. In the end, it was Namdhari XI which defeated ONGC with 3-2.

In the fourth match of the day, Sher Singh of BPCL scored a field goal in the fifth minute of the match. The score was equalised by Olympian Deepak Thakur of Indian Oil in 37th minute of the match. Another goal was scored by Gurjinder Singh of Indian Oil in 54th minute. This goal was scored with the help of a penalty corner. In the end it was Indian Oil which won an interesting encounter.
