Ludhiana, February 11, 2018: Giving a wonderful platform to the students, CT University organized an inter-college competition titled Fusion 2018 where more than 500 students from 30 different colleges participated. The overall trophy was bagged by HMV College Jalandhar along with the cash prize of Rs. 21,000.

Teams from colleges like Punjab Agricultural University, Kamla Lohtia, Government College for Girls, GNE Polytechnic, Arya College, Ludhiana and Lala Lajpat Rai Government College, Dhudike etc showcased their enthusiasm in this event. Students competed in various events like Nukkad Natak, Group dance (Indian and Western), Fashion Show and Solo singing.

The event was graced by S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chancellor, CT University, Mrs. Parminder Kaur Channi, Co-Chairperson, Mr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions and Mr. Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman, CT Group of Institutions and Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Pro Vice Chancellor.

The judgement of all events was done by professional jury. Known models like Lovish Saini, Nishtha Sagar, Bhumika Sharma and Lovepreet Singh adjudged colorful and theme based fashion show event. Whereas, Mr. Punjab 2017 Harpawit Singh and 1st Runner Up Mr. Punjab 2017 Arashbir Singh Hundal judged the group performances.

Under the category of Fashion show, HMV College bagged first position whereas Kamla Lohtia College stood second. Lala Lajpat Rai Government College, Dhudike bagged first position in Nukkad Natak whereas Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce stood second and CT Group of Institutions Shahpur team bagged third prize. These teams highlighted the serious issues of water scarcity and female feticide in India. HMV College Jalandhar bagged first prize in Indian folk dance, CT Group, Shahpur stood second, and Kamla Lohtia College, Ludhiana stood third.

CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur stood first in Western group dance, Kamla Lohtia College stood second and Baba Farid University stood third.

Pro VC Dr. Harsh Sadawarti said, “CT University has always promoted a balance of study and co curriculum activities. Such events bring out the hidden talent and skills in students. CTU will always help students to perform at various platforms and make them a part of such inter college events.”

Chancellor CT University, S. Charanjit Singh Channi said that such events will be organized in future as well to give such a wonderful platform to the budding youth.
