Dharamsala, March 28, 2013: Sushma Verma, a woman player of Himachal Pradesh got a birth in the final playing 15 selected to represent India in the forthcoming series against Bangladesh .
“This has been possible by her hard work and all the facilities and training being provided by HPCA to the players,” said Anuraag Thakur, President of Himachal cricket HPCA.
He further said, “The day is not far when Himachal will be the powerhouse of cricketing talent in the country owing to the natural benefits and the world class infrastructure being developed .”
Mohit Sood , press secretary, HPCA said that the communication from BCCI said that the All-India Women’s Selection Committee has picked the Indian team for the T20 International series and ODI series against Bangladesh, to be played in April 2013.The Indian Women team shall be led by Harmanpreet Kaur with Poonam Raut as her Deputy.
