Ferozepur, January 16, 2014: District Police, Ferozepur and BSF, achieved a major success during a special operation, seizing one kilogram heroin worth Rs.5 crore, one .30 pistol along with ammunition.
At a press conference here on Thursday, Manminder Singh, SSP, Ferozepur said acting on surreptitious information regarding concealed consignment of heroin besides firearms, a raid was conducted at village Dona Telu Mal, area along the Indo-Pakistan Border. SSP said that SP (Detective) Raghubir singh along with Shiv Kumar, Commandant, 143 Battalion BSF constituted a special team to nail the consignment and contraband worth Rs.5 crore along with firearms were seized in the generator room in fields across the fencing.
