HDHI & BCM School join hands for health awareness campaign

Ludhiana, August 17, 2014: Dayanand Medical College & Hospital – Unit Hero DMC Heart Institute has joined hands with B.C.M Arya Model Sr.Sec. School, Shastri Nagar, Ludhiana to spread health awareness among public through health related SMS messages. Hero DMC Heart Institute has already initiated this Health awareness campaign and has registered more than 20 thousand people in which a HEALTH TIP ALERT is send to them through SMS. School Authorities gave a warm welcome to Doctors of DMCH & HDHI and was very enthusiastic in participating in Health awareness Campaign.
School Principal Paramjit Kaur said – it our honor that we are becoming a part of this Health Awareness Campaign, being launched by HDHI. We will bring our efforts in registering all staff & parents of their students so that they can also receive the Health Alert Tips via SMS. As it is a very good thought process of spreading Health tips to public for awareness. Technology especially cell phones are now part of life & it is the best means to spread health awareness.
Prem Kumar Gupta Secretary Management HDHI said - Spreading Health awareness is one of the best ways to fight disease and Dayanand Medical College & Hospital Unit Hero DMC Heart Institute organized several health awareness initiatives to spread the message about common health related problems & their prevention among people of Punjab to combat the discrimination and myths associated with the diseases. The concept is to SMS the people on common health problems & their prevention in the morning so they can start their day with health tip in mind.
Dr.Bishav Mohan DM Cardiologist Gave lecture on Hypertension & Diabetes in the school auditorium. The lecture was received by School staff & principal. The awareness campaign titled was organized to educate on the importance of Diet & Lifestyle in maintaining a healthy & disease free lifestyle.
