Jalandhar, July 18, 2016: Havan Yajna was performed in the newly built Mahatma Anand Swami department of Performing Arts in Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya on Monday to seek the blessings of the Almighty.
The Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff and the students assembled to pray for the bright future of this department.
Havan Yajna was followed by Saraswati Vandana, a prayer to the goddess of knowledge. Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen prayed for the realization of the dreams of this department. She gave the credit for completion of this project in merely two months to Mr. D.L. Kochhar, the Overseer. She strongly believed that everything is possible with good intentions, sincerity and hard work. She also praised the Accounts Department, the Deans of various departments and the faculty for their co-operation. The university positions holders were also garlanded and honoured by the Principal and the staff. The staff and students also thanked the Principal for her initiative by presenting a bouquet. Vote of thanks was extended by Dr. Prem Sagar on the behalf of the music department. The stage was conducted by Mrs. Urvashi Sharma.
