Chandigarh, April 4, 2017: The Haryana Government has suspended Paramjit Singh, Deputy Labour Commissioner, Hisar, with immediate effect. During the suspension period, his headquarters will be the office of Labour Commissioner, Chandigarh. Stating this here today, Mr Nayab Singh, Minister of State for Labour and Employment, said that Paramjit Singh remained absent from the Building and Construction Workers’ Awareness Conference held at Dabwali, Sirsa district, last Sunday. He had also disobeyed orders besides being negligent in his duties. Mr. Nayab Singh said work of the department related directly to the workers. Therefore, absence of the officer concerned in an awareness conference organised for them reflected negligence on his part, especially in view of the minister being present at that meeting. Instructions have been issued to all officers and other employees to discharge their duties with dedication and honesty. Strict action would be taken under the rules against those who are found negligent in their duties, he added.
