Haryana Golden Jubilee One India Ride from Haryana Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh on April 13

Chandigarh, April 10, 2017: Haryana Governor, Prof.Kaptan Singh Solanki, would flag off Haryana Golden Jubilee One India Ride from Haryana Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh on April 13, 2017 at 11a.m.
While stating this here today, Convener, Swarna Jayanti Celebrations Authority, Mr.Rajeev Sharma, said that with a view to observe the Swarna Jayanti Year of Haryana in a befitting manner from November 1, 2016 to October 31, 2017, various social organisations were organising cultural programmes throughout the year to promote social harmony and educate the youth about the glorious history of the State. He said that the One India Ride expedition was being organised by National Integrated Forum for Artists and Activists for fostering national integration and harmony. The expedition comprising 29 youth would pass through 29 states and five Union Territories and would plant a sapling in each capital city as a symbol of the Swarna Jayanti Year of Haryana. The expedition would also gather soil and water from each state and use them to plant a sapling in Haryana upon their return as a symbol of national integration, he added.
