Mahindragarh(Haryana), July 27, 2014: Haryana Chief Minister,  Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced a slew of incentives for the people of Mahendergarh, included setting up of an industrial model township in village Khudana, Sub-Depot of Haryana Roadways and a workshop for the repair of electricity transformers.

Hooda  addressing  ‘Sankalp Rally’ at Mahendergarh on Sunday. He reiterated his commitment to bring the Bhakra water to this arid region.

He also announced a sum of Rs 10 crore from the Haryana Rural Development Fund for the development of villages of Mahendergarh Assembly Constituency and Rs five crore for the development of Mahendergarh Town. He also announced to give a sum of Rs five lakh each for all gaushalas in the area and said that those schools which fulfill the prescribed norms would be upgraded. Besides, veterinary hospital, ITI and polytechnic institute would be opened as per the requirement of the area.

While referring to the outcome of the previous Lok Sabha Elections, Hooda said that though the results in the country have not been as per the expectations of the Congress party, but it is a matter of fact that people did not vote for the policies of BJP. An atmosphere was created in the country in favour of a particular individual that he has a magic wand and all the problems of the people would vanish immediately. But now, people have seen the real face of BJP and are repenting on their decision as the BJP could never be a pro-poor and pro-farmer party.

Hooda said that he belongs to a family of freedom fighters and very well understand the feelings and aspirations of the people. On the basis of their feelings, he could clearly say that Congress would form the government in the State for third consecutive term also.

While lashing out at the BJP for increasing inflation in the country,  Hooda said that though the BJP has just completed its tenure of two months, its policies has already led to increase in the prices of various essential commodities.

He said that the Centre has increased the prices of diesel by 50 paise per month and railway fares and sugar prices have also been hiked considerably. Now, the Central Government is planning to increase the price of LPG cylinder by Rs 10 per cylinder per month, added Hooda.

Hooda said that he had heard the speech of Narendra Modi in a public meeting at Uttar Pradesh in the previous Lok Sabha elections in which he described the per capita income of any state as an indicator of development. Modi had said that the per capita income of Uttar Pradesh was Rs 33,000 whereas it was Rs 75,000 in Gujarat.  Hooda said that it was a matter of pride that Haryana is ahead of Gujarat with per capita income of Rs 1.35 lakh.

Chief Minister said that the present State Government has always taken decisions in the interest of all sections of the society be it the farmers, poor, labourers, employees, traders etc. He said that Haryana is the first state to reduce to the interest on crop loan from 11 per cent to four per cent. Apart from this, the farmers were being supplied electricity at the rate of Rs 10 paise per unit.

He said that the State Government has also abolished the black law of arresting the farmers for the non-payment of cooperative bank loans. The Government has also implemented a new scheme of giving a compensation of Rs five lakh in case of unnatural death of farmer during work. The State Government also provides compensation to the milch owners in case of death of their registered animals which is Rs 50,000 for a buffalo and Rs 20,000 for a cow under ‘Mukhyamantri Dudharu Pashu Suraksha Yojna'. Mr. Hooda said that as many as 3.80 lakh families have so far been allotted residential plots measuring 100 sq. yards each under the ‘Mahatma Gandhi Gramin Basti Yojna’.

While launching a scathing attack on the previous INLD-BJP Government in the State, Hooda asked the people to tell him any single step which they had taken in the interest of people. He said that during the tenure of Om Prakash Chautala, Rs. 200 per month was given as old age allowance whereas we are giving Rs 1000 as old age allowance which is highest in the country. Apart from this, we have also abolished Form-38 for the benefit of traders. Similarly, stamp duty on the transfer of property within the blood relations has also been abolished so as to further strengthen the family bonds.

President, HPCC,  Ashok Tanwar, Health Minister, Rao Narender Singh, Cooperation Minister,  Satpal Sangwan, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries namely Rao Dan Singh and Mrs. Anita Yadav and Political Advisor to Chief Minister,  Virender Singh also spoke on the occasion.
