Jalandhar, November 13, 2014: The students and staff here at Lyallpur Khalsa College, jalandhar paid their obeisance on the occasion of Sehaj Path held in the college Gurudwara today as a part of Gurupurab celebrations of the first master Guru Nanak Dev. The occasion was marked by a religious procession in the college campus followed by recitation of Kirtan by Bhai Lakhwinder Singh, Hazuri Ragi Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar.
Balbir Kaur, President of the College Governing Council honoured the Ragis with Siropas. On the occasion, Principal of the College Dr. G.S. Samra said that the role of an academic institution was, in addition to imparting of education, inculcation of moral and spiritual values in students. He exhorted the students to seek guidance and moral strength from the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev. Keeping with the tradition, Langar was served to one and all at this time.
Present on the occasion were Jaspal Singh Wraich, Gurdeep Singh Sangha, Ajaypal Singh Dhillon and members Governing Council and Managing Committee in addition to students and staff. Stage on the occasion was conducted by Dr. Sukhbir Singh.
