The Gurukul Drubs CL DAV In 3rd Match Of Wg Cdr S S Gyani Memorial Cricket Tournament

Panchkula, October 3, 2015: The third match was played out between The Gurukul, Panchkula & C L DAV School, Panchkula in the 6th Wg Cdr S S Gyani Memorial Cricket Tournament organized by St. Soldiers’ School, Sector-16, Panchkula. The toss was won by The Gurukul, Panchkula and they elected to bat.

 

The Gurukul, Panchkula put up 293 for the loss of 5 wickets. The star batsman was Abhinav Aggarwal who scored 117 runs off 72 balls hitting 20 4s and 3 sixers. Harshul Singh made 62 runs off 33 balls & hit six 4s and five 6s. Harsh Rana made an unbeaten 33 off 20 deliveries hitting four 4s and one six. Neelaksh, Raman and Yuvraj took one wicket each for CL DAV, Panchkula.

 

Chasing the target C L DAV, Panchkula were bundled out for a paltry 96 runs by The Gurukul in 24 overs, which made The Gurukul victors by a hefty margin of 197 runs. Keshav scored 35 runs facing 37 balls and hit 7 4s. Neelaksh made 14 off 26 balls which included two 4s and Nakul made 11 runs off 22 balls hitting two 4s. Bhavin Garg from The Gurukul took 3 wickets, Prabal Gautam 2 and Anmol Kaushil took 1 wicket.   

 

Abhinav Aggarwal of The Gurukul, Panchkula was declared Man of the Match. The next match will be held on Monday, October 5, between hosts St Soldier’s School, Panchkula and Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula.
