Guru Nanak Dev University College organises Annual Sports Meet 2016

Jalandhar, April 13, 2016: Guru Nanak Dev University College, Jalandhar organises Annual Sports Meet 2016 from April 13 to 16. The Chief Guest for the opening ceremony was the esteemed Mayor, Mr.Sunil Jyoti. This sports meet has been organised for the first time in the institution. Competitions were organised in the following games cricket, volleyball, chess, carom, tug of war and were open to both the categories, men as well as women.
The chief guest, Mr. Sunil Jyoti congratulated principal Dr. JS Randhawa, faculty members and the students for organising the first-ever sports meet. He motivated the students to participate in sports, as participating is the most important thing, winning and losing are secondary. Also Punjab has always been known for producing eminent sports persons and this tradition must go on.
Principal Dr. Randhawa, in his speech, mentioned that 600 students will be participating in the three day meet. He also assured that the university and the college will, in future, develop the required infrastructure for the sports. And he also mentioned that on each day there will be an eminent personality to address and encourage the students.
