Talwandi Sabo, October 5, 2015: Guru Gobind Singh College of Engineering & Technology of Guru Kashi University organised an Industrial Visit for B.Tech Petro-Chemical students. 
During this, students visited Setia Paper Mills (Sri Mukatsar Sahib). Purpose of this visit was to familiarize the Engineering students with corporate environment and working of industrial organizations. Mr. Rajeev Lochan Sen. Manager Quality Control and Mr. Sumit Sidhana HR Executive accompanied the students during their visit to various sections and were given detailed presentation about the working by the authorities of Setia Paper Mills. Students were also briefed about use of chemicals for the preparation of raw material which finally comes to a form of a paper. The international quality control measures followed by paper mills were also introduced along with the latest technologies to ensure minimum environmental pollutions emissions in the environment. It was a successful visit and this exposure will help students in their further studies.
Dr. N.S. Malhi, Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of Dr. H.S. Randhawa Dean and Prof. Mehboob Singh Gill Director Corporate Affairs GKU for undertaking the visit and motivated them to regularly arrange such programmes enhancing skills of students.    
S. Sukhraj Singh Sidhu, Managing Director lauded the efforts by the GGSCET & said such industrial visits develop corporate attitude among the students and also help them to collect rich practical information about the related industries.
Prof. Rakesh Singh, Prof. Atul Goyal and Prof. Babli Sidhu guided the students during this activity.
